Happy Halloween Katie!!! (do you know that song by Ministry "Everyday Is Like Halloween"? I see those girls dancing silly dances to that song. Beautiful as always.
Mitch nailed it on the head... they're full of spirit!
(You don't actually have to publish this post, but, well, I was wondering if you'd have any suggestions, exercises, tips, etc. on loosing up while doodling... I know drawing daily helps a lot, but any additional tip would be gold! Thank youuuu!)
You are doing a good job with the blog Katie! So sorry the old one went kaput in such an untimely manner. :( I imagine that the stress is probably at least a bit taxing on your health & so no wonder dear ol' Skadi is a bit irate. :( Your drawings are so good (Preston Blair would be secretly jealous.) and I imagine that most of the time you're having fun when you draw them since they are so fun to look at. :) Your sense of humor is grand as well. "Eat, eat..." hhaha!! Wait, the 'eat' one was not in this particular post, or was it? *Yawn!* 4:2something, better sleep. Good work y'know. Hillbillies hanging out in apple barrels, beer barrels ferrel bear bearels. :)
Stefie, I hope you don't mind but I went ahead and published your comment, because it's a good question. I think the easiest way to draw loosely is to do it when I'm feeling emotional, like either super happy or sort of down. Also, listening to music and drawing at the same time helps me sometimes. and yeah, drawing daily like you said too.

Get well soon Katie. Don't listen to Skadi that drawing's awesome.
Great sketches Katie! Always impressed with you loose sketches - I'm such a construction junkie - So I'm always taken aback by free sketches.
