Painting from March

I found this today in my bookshelf and had completely forgotten it. I like it, but after just reading Jolies Tenebres (thanks Brandy for finding it for me!), my attempt at cute pixie types feels a bit lacking. Ah well! I'm pretty happy I actually completed it.

I'm not sure what to do with this. I could sell it on Etsy, but I don't think many people are buying art nowadays because of the crappy economy. Maybe I'll get it framed and put it up for sale anyhow.

Here are some closeups of the little boxes:

(the actual paintings are a lot smaller than the images here, so forgive the sloppy parts!)

Oh in case people ask, this is me painting on top of a piece of scrapbook paper that I found.

Well, my last board for the Mighty B is due Wednesday, so I gotta get back to work now. Happy things are gonna happen soon though, so actual new art will be up in a bit.

I love when you make posts! And I'm actually still waiting on that post about you Skadi comic making routine. I just wish I had a better artistic constitution. I really have goofy ideas but I can't get them on paper.

Reminds me pleasantly of the Cottingley Fairies. And yes, please post more things on Etsy!

Thanks pals!!

Niki- Don't worry, I still plan on doing that post, I've just been busy with work. Soon I'll have a break and I'll be able to get it written up properly. And don't worry- I think every artist has trouble getting what they see in their heads on paper.

IKTS- Ha ha!! That gave me an idea...it'd be fun to redo the Cottingley Fairy photos with little drawings!

These Pixies are adorable!<3 I love them!!!!! You should also illustrate books!=)

Are you still working on your artbook?

Awesome work as usual!

I gotta ask...I check the JohnK, Marlo, Kali blogs in addition to yours every day, and I know it's none of my business, but why do none of them have you linked anymore? I used to just cycle through by clicking links on the side.

Hope all is well!

Brian- Marlo and I are buddies, but she's taken all her links down, so that includes mine. Also, I haven't had much to do with Spumco in the past few years, other than doing a few Sody and George sketches.

Arschblog- Thanks!! It'd be fun to illustrate a kids book or something. You'd be good at something like that too! As for a book, I still want to do it someday, but it's gonna be a while before it happens. I'll probably work on making a Skadi book first.

I would hands-down definitely buy a Skadi book!

Go go!
