New project obsession

A couple weeks ago I noticed that the piles of fashion magazines in my apartment were taking over and getting to be pretty overwhelming. So last weekend while I was sick in bed, I tore them all up and made a giant book of all the best photos. I divided them up into people with interesting faces, people in funny positions, and people with interesting shapes, colors, hairstyles, and clothes. So far it's been really useful, and fun to look at! Here are some sample pages of some cute, unique, and funny faces and poses.
I guess if I'd been smarter I would have divided up the sections a little better...and perhaps made a section for dificult angles, and a section for cool profiles. Anyhow, after I finished destroying all the magazines in the house, I sat down and drew a whole bunch of these awe-inspiring girly girls. Hopefully the drawings will be half as amusing to you guys as the photo reference is to me.

That's more ambition than I have! Bravo idea, though!

Excellent drawings too, as usual. I like the 'three girls 1' set, and the 'headshapes 1' set. Beaut!

just out of curiosity, what kind markers do you use? also, have you ever tried drawing directly to a computer with a tablet pc or wacom tablet?

I think she use Copic-markers. You can make clean coloration and you can mix the colors(like paint).
My favourite pictures are the japanese girls. The mouth are great, I hope you are not angry when I try this too.
Do you draw animals too? I´m happy to see some.

these look really cool! do you ever do art trades? i bet yr too busy for it anyway but me and my bf do them, his site is www.stuntkid.com (no, i'm not trying to plug him but just show you his gallery so that if you ever wanted to trade you could pick something out), i also have a box full of magazine pics i thought were cool but i'm just too lazy to put a book together, i recommend urban outfitter catalogues to draw from!
